Our Work
Since 1994, we have walked alongside children and communities, especially in the hardest-to-reach areas, in Sierra Leone. Today, our work has impacted more than 15,000 lives.

Our Approach: CHILD-CENTRED METHODOLOGIES
Pikin-To-Pikin Movement integrates children in their own development, helping them stand on their own and empowering them to improve their well-being and that of their communities.
Pikin-To-Pikin Movement believes in the potential of every child and youth in Sierra Leone. Let us continue to work together to create opportunities, empower individuals, and strengthen our community.

Our 4 Thematic Areas*
*Our 5th thematic pillar is dedicated to Institutional Capacity Strengthening
Child Protection
To ensure every girl and boy in Sierra Leone, especially those in the most underserved communities, grows up safe, protected, and free from violence and neglect
Education
To help every girl and boy, especially the most marginalised, access and complete a basic quality education that opens up their world to new possibilities to shape their own future
WASH
(Water, Sanitation and Hygiene)
To give girls and boys sustained access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene essentials that keep them healthy and in school
Health and Nutrition
To contribute to the health and nutrition of children and mothers, reducing disease, so every child has the strongest possible start in life

Featured Project:
Restoring KLDEC Primary School
When a windstorm in May 2025 left the KLDEC Primary School in Buedu Community, Kailahun, without a roof or walls, Pikin-To-Pikin Movement stepped in to give 403 pupils and 10 teachers their school back, with financial support from All We Can UK, FORUT Norway and contributions from the local community.
Many days, I was afraid to go to school because the building was not safe. Now, our classrooms are safe, clean, and
comfortable. We can learn even when it is raining.
Thank you very much to everyone who helped rebuild our school. Because of you, my friends and I can learn safely and follow our dreams.
